1 Introductions, apologies, substitutions and declarations of interest
1.1 The Chair welcomed Members to the meeting.
1.2 Apologies were received from Jack Sargeant MS; Ken Skates MS attended as a substitute.
There were no declarations.
2 Mental health inequalities: Evidence session with the Deputy Minister for Mental Health and Wellbeing and the Deputy Minister for Social Services
2.1 The Committee received evidence from the Deputy Minister for Mental Health and Wellbeing, the Deputy Minister for Social Services, and Welsh Government officials.
2.2 The Deputy Minister for Mental Health and Wellbeing agreed to provide the Committee with an update on the Welsh Government’s position on the extension of section 25B of the Nurse Staffing Levels (Wales) Act 2016 to mental health inpatient settings.
2.3 The Deputy Minister for Mental Health and Wellbeing agreed to provide the Committee with an update on the development and implementation of the mental health core data set.
3 Motion under Standing Order 17.42 (ix) to resolve to exclude the public from the remainder of this meeting, and from items 1,2 and 3 at the meeting on 6 October 2022
3.1 The Committee agreed the motion.
